At House of Niva, our mission is to break the cycle of abuse by offering free classes and training programs designed to equip survivors with the skills and knowledge necessary to secure suitable employment and achieve financial independence. Economic abuse can have a devastating impact on survivors, even long after they have escaped their abuser. Survivors may suffer from long-lasting effects such as damaged credit, poverty, and lack of access to basic necessities such as food. Furthermore, survivors often find themselves with little or no savings, no job, and no credit history. Without access to financial resources, survivors are hampered in their ability to gain independence from their abuser. Read More
